Thanks Krist - tried that too :-( I'm sure there's an issue with the mysql element of the SC but just can't figure it out, from the log file at the start of this it was all to do with mysql. Interstingly removing and reinstalling SC doesn't give this message any longer - i jut get the died - restarting message
Is there a way to turn on more meaningful reporting for the log file ?
