You can also use a directory to mount the extra drive: mount /dev/hdc1 /wherevermusicgoes mkdir /wherevermusicgoes/otherdrive mount /dev/hdd1 /wherevermusicgoes/otherdrive
This would make the new drive appear as a directory on the old drive. Again, if it doesn't work, check permissions to make sure they are readable. Whether you use mount points or symlinks, it should work fine.
