Yes, it's a beautiful thing!  I'm accessing this forum using Ubuntu on
my laptop which arrived to me from Dell with Vista installed.  I loaded
up the Ubuntu live CD, chose to install it, and was walked through the
process of shrinking the existing NTFS partition.  I split my partition
in half.  It was all very easy.

GRUB works great.  You can easily edit the menu.lst file to change
which OS boots by default and how long of a delay there is before
booting the default OS.
