I didn't know about Logrotate - thanks Dave
It seems the Logrotate for Squeezecenter does have a postrotate
action:
Code:
--------------------
/etc/init.d/squeezecenter condrestart >/dev/null 2>&1 || true
--------------------
I just ran this command and bang - there goes Squeezecenter with the
same error in the Log.
One thing I have noticed with Squeezecenter is that when running the
init script it always returns OK immediately - before the squeezecenter
has started/stopped - it doesn't seem to wait for the processes to
start/stop. I therefore find that restart doesnt work for me - when
manually restarting I have to issue a stop, wait a few seconds and then
issue a start.
Odd....
At least I know the cause now. I guess there's a good reason for
restarting the server process every night - anyone know what it is
before I remove the line from the logrotate script?
Thanks.
