Ola. I'm putting the final touches on the next beta version of the SrvrPowerCtrl plugin. The two new features in this release will be:
1). Ability to restart the SC service using the SBC/IR remotes. 2). Ability to download the latest nightly and update SC. Focusing on #2, to accomplish this, my plugin optionally downloads the nightly and then executes a shell script. Getting the windows version of this script to work is kind of a nightmere so far, so I'll leave that aside. I could use some help on the linux side: The only linux distro I know is Fedora. In Fedora, the two update scenarios are: --if no download is called for in the prefs, then the script executes: yum update --disablerepo=* --enablerepo=squeezecenter-testing -y --if a download has been called for and performed by the plugin, the update command is: /bin/rpm -Uvh $1 My question is this: what are the equivalent update manager and package manager commands for the other popular distros running SC? Debian? SUSe? Others? Thanks... -- gharris999 ------------------------------------------------------------------------ gharris999's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=115 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=52547 _______________________________________________ unix mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/unix
