Squeezecenter typically runs as a "service" under Linux and is not started with a menu selection.
In a terminal box, type the following at the $ or # prompt: /sbin/service squeezecenter status If Squeezecenter is running you get something that looks like this: squeezecenter-server (pid 5939) is running.... (The pid number you get will almost certainly be different.) That basically tells you Squeezecenter is running. You should be able to open the Squeezecenter web page from your web browser at port 9000. If Squeezecenter isn't running, try the following command as root (#) command: /sbin/service squeezecenter start (or restart) See if that gets you going. (Cautionary note: the file locations (/sbin) I used are for Fedora Core but I think that is a pretty standard location.) -- mlsstl ------------------------------------------------------------------------ mlsstl's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=9598 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=53463 _______________________________________________ unix mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/unix
