Hello, I seem to have trouble reaching the squeezecenter GUI on http://server:9000, where server is the Debian Lenny 2.6.26 is running as OS
Earlier, I was able to access it without a problem - but I cannot seem to get it to work again, somehow. Been scouring the fora first, and found some evidence that other people are having similar issues, but with a little twist here or there fi. http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=45724 Short summary: * installed the squeezecenter software through apt, after adding the repo to the sources.list; about one week ago, and everything looked fine, was able to add some software players by using the stream link (server:9000/stream.mp3) - basically a computer listening with rhythmbox or similar * decided it seemed very interesting to have the gear as well - so I purchased a Duet * during weekend, upgraded my server to most recent packages, and did not really take a look at squeezecenter * Duet arrived, installed - ready to go * network and squeezenetwork worked out of the box; I can control my receiver from the Duet handheld, and can contact web radio, etc. * when trying to run the squeezecenter GUI through the browser, I got really long loading times, or plain freezes; sometimes nothing gets through * for some reason, on squeezenetwork.com in the browser, I start getting 500 errors, as in Internal Server Error (maybe this is not related to my local issue) * purged squeezebox completely, reinstalled, a couple of times, taking care the prefs files and folders are removed as well * still no go for the server:9000 GUI * squeezecenter is running (available through ps with PID specified, and has an instance running at around 4200, and a couple of high PID numbers as well (probably the base process, and some spinoffs?) * I'm pretty sure port 9000 is open on the firewall script, and added the other ports as well that were available in the faq for windows firewall - being 3483 on tcp and udp ; that did not change a lot * a start and stop from the console for squeezecenter through /etc/init.d/squeezecenter does not change anything - a force-reload change nothing either * I checked whether I got Perl - it is available - v5.10; libfreetype (if I'm not mistaken) needed to be available as well - got it that's about it what I've tried for now --- I read that 7.2.1 is causing issues, regarding the mysql connection? I have not been able to check the log functionality - will do that soon in the meantime - anybody who can share some light - thanks already! greetings, Frank -- criticalmess ------------------------------------------------------------------------ criticalmess's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=20877 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=54665 _______________________________________________ unix mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/unix
