Is your MSI Wind the notebook or the desktop? If the desktop, there's a thread covering a lot of these issues over in the 3rd Party Hardware forum. I am also having problems getting my MSI Wind (also running Ubuntu 8.4) to suspend, but others have had success on other distros. Any way, you might want to take a look at that thread.
