Have you tried top? Type top in a terminal window. You should then see all the processes and how much space and cpu they are taking. You can sort it by CPU or memory. It dynamically adjusts to the current usage. (btw, if you don't see lame on the list, then it's not transcoding. if you do, it is.)
Another thing you could try is running squeezeplay. This is a terminal based application so you can eliminate the network as an issue. If this works fine, try to connect a laptop where the slimp3 device is attached and connect a laptop there. Run squeezeplay from that laptop and see how it plays. Maybe from this you can get a little more insight into what is not working. It seems like you have adequate CPU and memory horsepower for what you are trying to do. -- wactuary ------------------------------------------------------------------------ wactuary's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=233 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=58187 _______________________________________________ unix mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/unix
