I'm running SC on FreeBSD. Today, after not messing with anything, I was unable to connect to the stream. I poked around for a while and did a fresh install, but the problem persisted. In fact, connecting to the stream can make the web interface unresponsive, requiring the service to be restarted.
Here is the data I have. FreeBSD 7.1 SC version 7.3.2 - 24695 (from the FreeBSD ports tree) 1. When stopping the service, I see this error message: [[AAssertion failed: (&cursor->coreServ != thisRegistration), function RegistrationCallback, file Responder.c, line 492. I see this only if Bonjour is enabled. 2. If I have Bonjour enabled I also see mDNSResponderPOSIX fail with signal 6 when it is shut down. Disabling Bonjour doesn't fix anything though. Authentication is on, but the stream never gets connected to query for the login. This is all over the internet, I will get a chance to try on the LAN when I get back from work. But port the SC port is clearly still working, as I can get the web interface, so I think I can rule out something with the work firewall. Any ideas? The fact that this stopped working by itself... well, that's like a Windows problem. I ain't used to that on Unix! -- horseflesh ------------------------------------------------------------------------ horseflesh's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=19608 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=63900 _______________________________________________ unix mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/unix
