I'm not sure google code gets git. And yes, my code will be run by my system. I'll most likely just make a symbolic link pointing /var/lib/SqueezeCenter/Plugins/SrvrPowerCtrl at wherever I work on the code.
The whole FHS compliancy thing has me a little dazed. Apparently, /usr/src would be a no-no: "Source code may be placed in this subdirectory, only for reference purposes.
