I'm not a Mythbuntu user, but on most Linux distros you need to make sure the network card is left enabled for WOL at shutdown.
A few things to check: Edit /etc/init.d/halt and look for: > NETDOWN=yes Change to: > NETDOWN=no Edit /etc/network/interfaces and add a line: > pre-down ethtool -s eth0 wol g Then reboot. When the system is booted, type: > sudo ethtool eth0 You should get output like: > Settings for eth0: > Supported ports: [ TP ] > Supported link modes: 10baseT/Half 10baseT/Full > 100baseT/Half 100baseT/Full > 1000baseT/Half 1000baseT/Full > Supports auto-negotiation: Yes > Advertised link modes: 10baseT/Half 10baseT/Full > 100baseT/Half 100baseT/Full > 1000baseT/Half 1000baseT/Full > Advertised auto-negotiation: Yes > Speed: 1000Mb/s > Duplex: Full > Port: Twisted Pair > PHYAD: 1 > Transceiver: internal > Auto-negotiation: on > Supports Wake-on: g > Wake-on: g > Current message level: 0x000000ff (255) > Link detected: yes > The "Wake-on:" line near the end is the important one. If it says "Wake-on: d" then WOL is disabled so something above hasn't worked! If it says "Wake-on: g" Try shutting down and see if WOL works now.
