heh yeah a Solaris booster is used to such statements :) Try OpenSolaris, it's very user-friendly. I've never touted Solaris as a desktop OS. I just think it has kernel functionality that is second to none. Oh and using ZFS is great. Plus as a developer, you should -really- check out DTrace. ok, infomercial done. :-D Ok so I built and installed a fresh Perl 5.10. I tried the SC 7.4-27511 build again, same issue..can't see the modules it just built and installed! And trying 7.3.4-27488, I'm back at "Error: Can't find source for MetaInformation" ... Hey at least I'm consistent! To continue with punishment and said gluttony, I'm going to try to install the "missing" modules into the system perl5 libs that 7.4.4 can't find.
