The current name, even on Windows, is SqueezeCenter. The wiki tells you how to use the GUI downloader to install it on debian, ubuntu and related distros. And there are similar instructions for RedHat, Fedora, Mandriva and other RPM based distros. I run mine on Debian these days, and the installation system does everything you need, including all the dependencies and the automatic startup.
