If you are new to linux, then you may not know that there's probably an
extra step you'll need to perform here.  Unlike windows, secondary
drives have to be specifically "mounted" at boot time.  You'll need to
know the file system of the drive containing the music files.  Did you
just move the drive from your windows box to the new linux machine?  If
so, then the file system on the drive is probably NTFS.  But you can
check by running this command, again from a terminal prompt:

# fdisk -l

Post the output of that command here and we'll walk you through the
steps you'll take to automatically mount that drive at boot time.  From
a windows user's perspective, I know this sounds a little crazy.  But
this is just the way linux works.
