I temporarily fixed this in my fresh 9.10 upgrade by forcing the upgrade with dpkg. Not pretty, and it breaks the update manager because it won't let you do anything else until you fix the newly broken dependencies, but I figure I can wait a few days until this gets fixed. Download the .deb and enter the following command:
