have you remembered to update the package list? sudo apt-get update. sudo apt-get upgrade You must also check that the repositories are active on your sources list. If you don't use synaptic then kpackagekit > settings gives you access to the list. Upadting to 9.10 is likely to have turned off the line with the slimdevices source. Edit that so it reads testing, update, but then go back to stable unless you are prepared for the odd failure. -- mudlark SB3>CyrusDACX>PreXvs>ESPAudio P09B Active filter>NAP140+260A>Rhapsody, Avondale and Naim cable, Kubuntu Jaunty Jakalope server, various boxes for storage.
