Please excuse a Linux/Ubuntu newbie for butting in here, but I too was having problems getting Squeezebox Server to scan my music directory. Indeed, I couldn't get the server to access anything on the /home partition although I was able to play this music via Ubuntu's Rhythmbox.
Anyway, to cut a long story short, it transpired that shortly after updating to Ubuntu 9.10, I had somehow transferred the permissions of /home from user to root. I transferred permissions back to user and now Squeezebox server can once more scan my music directory. I know you say, tomk, that your permissions are okay, but perhaps it's worth checking again... just in case? -- El_Thicko ------------------------------------------------------------------------ El_Thicko's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=8210 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=70570 _______________________________________________ unix mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/unix
