Hi, I upgraded from 7.3.2 to 7.4.2 to try to overcome some slowness when using the web interface (using the default skin), along with a bug that occasionally makes the UI of my SB3 slow when the web page to SBS is up (I'm guessing due to the time updating / seeking code).
I did a yum install from the repro. I was dissapointed that all my settings were blown away and that I had to do a full re-scan. Maybe I should have done something differently than yum install. I didn't uninstall 7.3.2 in any way beforehand, I'm not sure if that would make a difference. Using the web interface is much slower than before. Even worse, when navigating on the sb3, things are much slower than before, by over an order of magnitude. I never had any pause when going from "music library" to "new music" or "artists" but now have around 8 seconds of delay for 617 artists. Watching top on the server shows squeezeboxserv taking 100% CPU throughout the duration. Going back to "music library" by hitting left on the remote, then back to "artists" results in the same delay, there is no caching. Is this performance problem a known issue? I want to downgrade back to 7.3.x immediately since this is holding back my listening experience for the weekend, but if this isn't a known issue, I'd like to help profile the code, look through logs, and get to the bottom of the problem if possible. The only possibly interesting things I see in /var/log/squeezeboxserver are [09-12-13 06:30:51.6147] Slim::Utils::Misc::msg (1165) Warning: [06:30:51.6131] DBIx::Class::ResultSet::single(): Query returned more than one row. SQL tha t returns multiple rows is DEPRECATED for ->find and ->single at /usr/lib/perl5/vendor_perl/Slim/Schema/Track.pm line 242 Where else should I be looking? My server is a dual P3 downclocked to 750MHz, WD10EADS drive, 1GB ECC RAM running at 100MHz (instead of 133Mz), serverworks chipset. I have a sb3 and a boom both connected via wireless to a d-link 624 router (54g) and they report having ~40% wireless strength. thanks in advance Jason -- jfeldt ------------------------------------------------------------------------ jfeldt's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=34929 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=72545 _______________________________________________ unix mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/unix
