Indeed - moving to 7.4.1 was a breeze if you follow the directions in the wiki.
I posted about my experience here: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=72134 the only think of note, though, was that after the upgrade I had to reboot before the new server would start. Other than that, I went low-tech as well for the plugins and just wrote them all down and did some screenshots.
