Hello, I recently got some new ac3-files (audio tracks of DVB recordings) and this evening I once more vainly tried to get the conversion to work.
If anyone could help, I would be very thankful. As far as I got, I found out the following: MPlayer could not output to stdout in 2005. It seems likely that this is still the case which could explain my problems: http://lists.mplayerhq.hu/pipermail/mplayer-users/2005-December/057511.html I then found valdec, part of the ac3filter tools: http://www.ac3filter.net/projects/tools But I was not successful with this so far, either. I tried: --- ac3 wav * * [valdec] $FILE$ -r - --- Unfoirtunately, I cannot post the log into this reply. I will try with a second reply.
