Not here. I just updated one of my servers to check but everything is working fine. I'm actually listening to my Duet at the moment. I see the same error you are mentioned in my server log form time to time and AFAIK it's been there for a long time. It seems that sometimes MySQL doesn't respond quickly enough for Squeezeboxserver but it has never caused a problem. So I don't think there is a problem with either the squeezeboxserver port or any of the other ports it depends on.
