I've also been playing with PlugApps (formerly OpenPogo) on a PogoPlug. 
It seems to work OK, but the scanner sometimes crashes.  Not sure
exactly how to reproduce it yet.

It would be great if you could add some info to the Squeezebox wiki. 
If you do, I suggest adding a few steps such as tweaking file
permissions so your new user can run it and read/write your music
directories.  Also, changing the timezone.

BTW, just curious, why do you use the NFS client?  If you have an NFS
server running on the machine containing your music, why not just run
SbS there?  IMO, the real benefit of a plug is using local USB (and
later eSATA) storage.
