This is the result: $ ls -l /usr/local/lib/perl5/5.8.9/utf8* -rw-rw--w- 1 ftp wheel 6918 Sep 10 2009 /usr/local/lib/perl5/5.8.9/utf8.pm -rw-rw--w- 1 ftp wheel 8001 Sep 10 2009 /usr/local/lib/perl5/5.8.9/utf8_heavy.pl I've downloaded the "squeezeboxserver-7.4.2.tgz", "slimnas-install.sh" and the "slimnas.tgz" at least two times. The first I've used several versions that are available. I have also removed the version with the normal remove procedure on the interface, removing the directories that are left by hand. Again, the system runs on the FreeNAS (0.7 Khasadar (revision 4919)) bootable cd-rom and the configuration is stored on the USB (FAT with only \CONF\CONFIG.XML).
