For the record I'm a Linux noob, for years I've had Slimserver running on a Windows PC but I decided to commission an old (but faster) laptop into action and installed Ubuntu 9.10 and then Firestarter (used to having a firewall ;) )
With my SB3 all I needed to do was allow all connections for the SB3 IP address and all was well. Just got my SB touch today and set it up exactly the same way, i.e. allowing all connections for the new IP address but the only way I can get Touch and Server to see each other is to disable firestarter first. Once they're hooked up Firestarter can be restarted and it works fine until either Server or Touch restarts. Any ideas why the Touch would be treated differently to SB3? -- Rangdo GRONDA GRONDA SB3 > Benchmark DAC1 > Bel Canto S300iu > MA GR20 ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Rangdo's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=5238 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=77332 _______________________________________________ unix mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/unix
