I always think of 'mnt' as being for temporary things. But that's just me. For historical reasons (going back to using 'mserv' long before I had my first SB), I have a /home/mp3 directory where music goes (and, no it's not all mp3's... but... well, it's historic for me now and I'm too lazy to change). I have a symlink in my own home to point to that, so ~/mp3 works for me, too. Really, whatever works for you is fine. Just avoid usual system places like /etc and /dev and you're fine. You -could- do it in your home directory, but, well, I find the music files tend to grow, and it's easy enough to upgrade the music drive if it's separate. -- snarlydwarf ------------------------------------------------------------------------ snarlydwarf's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=1179 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=78932 _______________________________________________ unix mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/unix
