Does the Windows machine have a firewall ? Since yesterday I run: host Ubuntu 10.4 server / guest xubuntu 8.10 with SC7.3.4 and all my ip3k players are happy. Sorry, the Duet is in a trunk. (The guest is bridged to the physical network card of the host, so it sees the broadcasts.)
