I've never built an ipkg, but I understand it's similar to a .deb. If you're interested in doing it yourself, I'm sure you can google for some good ipkg how-to's. Then, look at http://svn.slimdevices.com/slim/7.6/trunk/platforms/debian/ for the current squeezeboxserver .deb from which you can probably copy a lot. I suggest you try to use the same conventions in terms of FHS, file/directory naming, etc that we use in the deb and RPM.
