I take it internet surfing is fine as well on the linux box? Can you play the radio streams on the linux pc? I am thinking you may need to check your packages and make sure you have all the decoders etc. set up as Squeezeplay requires. Windows XP comes with and downloads codecs as it needs them, linux not so much.
