I purchased a Vortexbox about 2 weeks ago and all has been well. After
spending some time setting up all my preferences and transferring my
music I have enjoyed a stable system.

However yesterday I noticed that the Vortexbox had disappeared on the
network. I couldn't connect to it via a browser so plugged in a
keyboard and monitor. Then I could see the message "reboot and select
proper boot device".

I am a complete Unix novice but to me it sounds like the hard disk can
no longer be seen so am guessing that it has failed. When I looked at
the bios settings there didn't seem to be any recognition of a hard
disk :-(

Has anyone seen this before? I have emailed Vortexbox Australia from
whom I purchased the box but no response yet.

Thanks - Chris
