Here is my setup:

Squeezebox Touch connected to external 1TB USB HDD.
All music files are on said HDD.
Touch is running the server internally.
Touch is wired to the router.
Other computers in house connect to router wirelessly.
USB sharing is enabled on Touch.

Everything works magnificently as is, but I'd like to be able to access
the USB HDD from my notebook, which is running Ubuntu 10.10.
Specifically, I want to be able to drop new files onto the HDD from my
notebook, which is my primary CD ripper. Currently, I just disconnect
the HDD from the Touch and hook it up to the notebook for file
transfers - inelegant, but it works.

I can "see" the Touch using Nautilus and xsmbrowser, but can't actually
log in or mount. I wonder if it's a permissions issue, but I don't know
where I would be able to change that. I've been able to log into the
Touch using the command line, but my command line prowess is inadequate
to do anything beyond that. I am a hopeless GUI type.

Any ideas?
