I have had a Duet running for quite a while connected to my XP PC. In
search of a lighter server I installed Ubuntu 10.10 desktop on a HP
t5720 thin client with a USB hard disk attached. (I am a Ubuntu
novice). After lots of searching on the internet I have finally got
Ubuntu all set up and my library scanned in. But although I can connect
my Duet controller to the Ubuntu Squeezecenter server I cannot browse
the play lists or play any music from the controller. Nor can I play
directly from the server. When I first set it up it wanted to do a
firmware update on the controller but would just sit there doing
nothing so I updated my XP squeeze server to the same version and did
the firmware update from that.
It cant be a connection problem as everything can see each other and my
router confirms its all connected but the Duet seems unable to download
anything from the Ubuntu server so I assume it is a permission problem
??

Anyone got any ideas? I am completely stuck and cant find mention of
this sort of problem anywhere.
