On a server, and depending on your workload, it can be useful to turn
down the sysctl vm.swappiness. This controls how aggressively the vm
swaps out pages, it defaults to 60 which is high for a servers with
fairly stable workload. I tend to run it at 20, so that more of the
application pages stay in main memory.
