Hello, I have installed Ubuntu Server 10.10 x64 from scratch as a VM. I have installed Squeezebox server following Ubuntu instructions on wiki.slimdevices.com -- by adding debian.slimdevices.com as a repository and then installing the software as usual, through Synaptic Package Manager.
All went fine, the server starts, I can access WebGUI. My music library is on another Windows server, so I have permanently mapped Windows share in fstab and then pointed squeezebox server to index /media/share-name folder. Scan completed successfully, but the library, when accessed through WebGUI by artist or album, does not show any songs that have international characters in their names (I have lots of Russian and others; int. characters are in file names and tags). Once I go to browse music by folder and point to any "international" folders, I see music listed properly and once I do it, it becomes browseable through artist/album menu. Same folder structure, indexed by SS on WinXP machine, lists all songs without issues. Any thoughts? Thanks in advance! -- Gregory V ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Gregory V's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=43468 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=85097 _______________________________________________ unix mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/unix
