Hi.  Did you ever get to the bottom of this?  Where did you find the
core file, or, where was the bt logged?  I am getting the scanner
segfaulting as well:

perl[18953]: segfault at 0000000000000000 rip 0000003673279a30 rsp
00007fff2a9f5818 error 4

but I can't find a core.  As far as I can tell, the squeezeboxserver
user should be allowed to write a core.

I am running SBS 7.5.3 on CentOS 5.5 x86_64, and the scanner bombs out
pretty quickly on my music dir, which has been happily handled under
Windows XP/SBS 7.3.2 for years.
