Not sure. I thought that Squeezeboxserver uses it's own 'embedded'
mysqld. Looking at the start-up script, it indeed does not seem to
require MySQL. So I don't think that's the case.
You CAN use an already installed MySQL, but I'm not doing that.
Maybe I should say that squeezeboxserver IS running and I can use my
squeezeboxes just fine.
I just added 3 newly bought CD's to my collection and now they ARE
added to the database. The errors in the scanner log remain, however.
After a single scan of my rather modest collection (750 CD's) the
scanner log is 26MB and doing:
