I've gone through all of the suggestions above, but still have no luck. /var/log/messages states: Jul 6 15:30:53 localhost systemd[1]: squeezeboxserver.service: control process exited, code=exited status=1 Jul 6 15:30:53 localhost systemd[1]: Unit squeezeboxserver.service entered failed state. Jul 6 15:31:53 localhost systemd[1]: squeezeboxserver.service: control process exited, code=exited status=1 Jul 6 15:31:53 localhost systemd[1]: Unit squeezeboxserver.service entered failed state.
I must say I find it a little odd that the service gets run twice in a minute, though that might simply be because it is not starting. systemctl status squeezeboxserver.service gives: squeezeboxserver.service - LSB: Startup script for the Squeezebox Server Loaded: loaded (/etc/rc.d/init.d/squeezeboxserver) Active: active (exited) since Wed, 06 Jul 2011 16:32:06 -0400; 1 day and 18h ago Process: 1967 ExecStop=/etc/rc.d/init.d/squeezeboxserver stop (code=exited, status=0/SUCCESS) Process: 1978 ExecStart=/etc/rc.d/init.d/squeezeboxserver start (code=exited, status=0/SUCCESS) CGroup: name=systemd:/system/squeezeboxserver.service And finally, running the server from the command line with: /usr/libexec/squeezeboxserver --prefsdir=/var/lib/squeezeboxserver/prefs --logdir=/var/log/squeezeboxserver --cachedir=/var/lib/squeezeboxserver/cache --charset=utf8 produces the following output: Use of inherited AUTOLOAD for non-method YAML::Syck::DumpYAML() is deprecated at /usr/share/squeezeboxserver/CPAN/YAML/Syck.pm line 65. The following modules failed to load: YAML::Syck ******* NOTE: If you're running some unsupported Linux/Unix platform, please use the buildme.sh script located here: http://svn.slimdevices.com/repos/slim/7.6/trunk/vendor/CPAN/ If 7.6 is outdated by the time you read this, Replace "7.6" with the major version You should never need to do this if you're on Windows or Mac OSX. If the installers don't work for you, ask for help and/or report a bug. of Squeezebox Server you are running. ******* Exiting.. I'm running squeezeboxserver-7.6.0-0.1.32611.noarch.rpm Any thoughts? I can't think of anything else to try, but I'm clearly missing something!!
