I use the LTS Ubuntu, have the slimdevices stable repo connected to
download 7.6, when I tried to browse my music folder 7.6 basically
hangs and uses 20 to 30 percent of the CPU, process doesn't die but the
Touch loses connection and I had to restart the service. After doing
that twice, I disabled scanning the library and all was fine. Is there
a way to completely disable scanning? I have my music folders organized
neatly, no need for a tag scan. Have a few terabytes of FLAC connected
to multiple USB external drives. My server is 1st Gen AMD64 1 gig ram.
Never had a problem before.
