I'm a little out of my depth here, I'm afraid, since I know very little
about "unusual" formats.
What version of sox are you running? ("sox -v")
I'm seeing v14.3.0 on Ubuntu and v14.3.2 on FreeBSD.
Anyone who knows what they're talking about feel free to butt in. :)
