Merry Christmas everyone, hope all enjoying the break. SBS (Debian Squueze) and SBRs working well in normal use. But, wanting (sometimes) to transcode flac to mp3 (to sometimes reduce bandwidth requirements) cannot, because 'MP3' was greyed-out in the file-types settings page. This meant that lame wasn't installed (thanks to a poster a few weeks back), so I've now installed lame (libmp3lame0-3.98.4) but SBS still showing 'MP3' selection greyed-out in the settings page. Synaptic confirms that liblame... is installed (and is the latest version for Debian). Have restarted SBS twice, no change.
Are there some logs or config files I could first check just to see what SBS thinks it is up to? (By the way, I couldn't see how to restart SBS, so I installed a plug-in and SBS asks to restart. What's the 'proper' way to restart SBS?) regards, Atlantic -- Atlantic ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Atlantic's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=44239 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=92572 _______________________________________________ unix mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/unix
