Hi folks.

I updated my server from 773 (stable) to 780nightly the other day . I
installed the new .deb over the old one. (Didn't "purge" the old one)

The server installation ran smooth. No problems.

What made me suspicious was that my Touch wouldn't update automatically.

What I just figured was that in /var/lib/squeezeboxserver/cache/updates
were still the old 773 fab files around.

Now. What's the problem??

Two guesses:

I'm wondering if it is recommended to purge the old server (remove all
dead bodies), instead of just installing the new over the old one!?!?

Or could it be that if "automatic updates" is turned on (this was the
case) , that mysqueezebox.com refreshes that directory with the old
stable version?

Thx
