I have a similar issue that I cant solve using the advice above. I have two external USB drives. They are both auto mounted via fstab under .media as follows :
LABEL=Cyclopes15 /media/Cyclopes15 ,ntfs-3g,uid=1000,gid=1004,umask=022,dmask=022,fmask=022,auto,nobootwait,nofail,bootwait 0 0 LABEL=Medusa65 /media/Medusa65 ,ntfs-3g,uid=1000,gid=1004,umask=022,dmask=022,fmask=022,auto,nobootwait,nofail,bootwait 0 0 However /media lists as : drwxrwxrwx 1 root root 12288 Sep 7 21:00 Cyclopes15 lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 7 Jun 12 19:59 floppy -> floppy0 drwxr-xr-x 2 root root 4096 Jun 12 19:59 floppy0 drwxr-xr-x 1 colic colic 8192 Sep 7 18:28 Medusa65 Cyclopes15 shows up under Squeezeboxserver, as do the two floppy drives. There is no mention of Medusa65. Obviously, despite the fstab, there is a difference in they way they are mounted which squeezebox doesnt like. As far as I knew fstab should sort the permissions, although clearly there's a diference in the actual mount point. - although even that suggests anyone can read the drive. But Im stuck as to what it is and how I would get Medusa65 apearing in squeezebox?
