I'm not using xfade either ,but very popular in some genre and a lot of people actually use this. But did you include replay gain support that is very important for some users ? I saw some gain value flash by when I debugged ,looks like it ? Next I try to play some gapless albums this is also important . If you plan a vider use case reconsider gapless for mp3 too the q is inevitable so I better ask , suppose this is libmad vs lame or something ? Do you use floating piont algorithms for mp3 ? A thing that can be noticed on a hardware squeezebox is that the mp3 decoding is not as good as it can be in some rare cases you get artefacts you never have if you decode it on a pc , not that I care that much for mp3 but again some users do. (The obvius workaround is to decode on the server which uses lame ) but you may be aware of this already . ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Mnyb's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=4143 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=97046 _______________________________________________ unix mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/unix
