Thanks Tamex for your comments. As I was struggling trying to figure
out how to build the perl modules, I was re-reading my error logs and
noticed that the errors I was receiving didn't seem to be related to
modules not working. It appeared to be either server related
(localhost:9000 not loading properly because socket in use) or sqlite
related.

So I thought I would aptitude purge logitechmediaserver to clean it up
before trying again. Then I noticed when purging that it was warning me
that it wasn't removing /usr/share/squeezeboxserver or
/var/lib/squeezeboxserver, so I removed those manually.

Now from a clean start, I thought I would try installing the very latest
logitechmediaserver software, so I installed the latest version
(7.8.0~1353473215) that I downloaded a few days ago (from
http://debian.slimdevices.com/pool/main/l/logitechmediaserver/), and not
everything seems to work properly.

I think perhaps that there was some sqlite issue with my music database
that clearing the old folders away seems to have fixed.

Thank goodness, everything seems to be working for now! Thank you very
much for your help Tamex!
