Yeehaa! I had already given up on the Behringer UCA 202 / 222 because of the noises/crackling/pops, but just gave it one last try with 0.7b1.
For the first time, sound gets through crystal clear now: Raspberry Pi + Archlinux hardfloat + source compiled 0.7b1 started with "-o hw:CARD=CODEC,DEV=0" Thanks so much, this is awesome and a real christmas present!!!
