I've recently gotten my Raspberry Pi up and running with Squeezeplug 5.0 and have been having fits trying to get Squeezelite working with two different asynchronous USB DAC's (HRT Music Streamer II and Audioquest Dragonfly). I tried it with a cheap, simple USB DAC - the Turtle Beach Audio Advantage Micro II - and everything works perfectly with standard 44.1/16-bit FLAC files. I'm investigating the Pi as a client solution to feed generic audio hardware should my Logitech devices (Squeezebox Boom, Radio, Transporter) cease working. The cheap DAC solution should be fine for the Radio or the Boom, but I'll have to wait for software fixes to get the asynchronous DAC's to work.
