Hi Triode, Thank you, the current Squeezelite v0.9beta6 is working great for me! I finally have all the pieces together for my Raspberry Pi with USB audio. I was getting that crackling distortion with previous versions (although Squeezelite briefly worked via USB a few versions ago) but now it's clean. In case it helps anyone else, I thought I'd list my hardware configuration. I'm using Squeezeplug 6.01 with the following:
Raspberry Pi Model B, Rev 2 (512MB RAM) HiFimeDIY Sabre USB DAC 96khz/24bit - ES9023+TE7022 TP-LINK TL-WN823N Wireless N USB wifi Adapter I'm using both Shairport and Squeezelite and the sound is very good through this DAC with both. I just have to remember to turn the Squeezelite player 'off' in iPeng when I want to use Airplay functionality. Let me know if there's anything you want me to test or report with this setup.
