Hi all, I discovered this thread (and this forum too) while doing some research on wandboard's audio. I got myself a wandboard to integrate it with a DAC I'm building, so I could use it as an audio streamer. I chose wandboard mainly because of the optical spdif output and because it seemed easy to get I2S outputs also.
I know nothing about Linux and I've never had experience with Squeezebox products before, so I'm a complete newbie, anyway I decided to give it a try. I've been trough RC1, RC2 and now I'm running RC3 (sorry, I wanted to post my impressions, but the activation email took forever to arrive). So far, the only bug I've seen is the HDMI audio issue (which I know it's on the list), also, I get a strange noise (reminds me of a track I use for headphone burn-in) if I reboot using the board's reset button. Other than that, everything runs like a charm. Congratulations to Triode and JackOfAll (and to anyone else involved in the developent). If a complete newbie like me get's it running at first try with no pain, then IMHO, it's a great OS. Wish I could be of help to the community.... I will have to get me some Linux books and start learning :D. Thanks!!! ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Alcaudon's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=59446 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=98190 _______________________________________________ unix mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/unix
