Nothing I told you to do should have fixed it. Adding "-d" to the
wpa_supplicant command line was to get some verbose logging so I could
see what was going wrong with the association process.

The wpa_supplicant.log that you posted earlier.... What looks like an
error could be ignored. The key thing was that the authentication
request was timing out. The "-d" was going to tell me why. That you
downed and upped the interface and it now magically works....... I don't
know, ..... ;)
