You describe the boot process for the whole server it is not necessarily LMS that is slow. It can take a while for the OS to get the wifi running and acquire dhcp address etc.
Maybe if you hook up a monitor and watch the boot process in some way you can figure what's slow to start. there is probably a way to make the boot process verbose enough.
